On a regular basis, Lora mentors and participates on panels to advise startups. Recently, she served as a judge for an internal startup competition at SONY in Sweden. If you are interested in inviting Lora to speak on a panel, please give her a buzz +4560872882.
Lora traveled to Silicon Valley to attend a executive education program at UC Berkeley for Innovation leadership. During the week speakers in the forefront of innovation, big data, artificial intelligence and on the Berkeley method and the startup mentality of the valley presented their ideas. A visit to Auto desk and Jacobs Innovation center broadened our perspective on whats possible in the IoT. We also were tasked with created a startup that disrupts an industry and competed with presentations for a panel of bay area VC’s and thought leaders.
Being back in the San Francisco Bay Area where I grew up, brought back feelings that I had somewhat forgotten. Actually I hadn’t forgotten them, I just felt that the ambitions I had were just lofty dream, but when I was surrounded with peers in Silicon Valley, with each speech they delivered I began more and more to understand myself and who I am. “Growing up in Palo Alto, I was brought up with the Silicon Valley mentality that not only can we change the world, but it is our duty to do so. ” And now I understand it is not just me that feels this way, in fact it is the norm there and I am not out of place when I am there. I am out of place when I am not there.
